10 Knights Close

After a trip to Japan in 1985 I joined the Japanese Garden Society for inspiration.
After creating various Japanese gardens in previous houses, I bought Knights Close.
I had a blank canvas as the garden was half gravel and half patio. Earlier this year I created this Japanese-style Tea-Garden.
So here we are, a Tsubo style garden (an intimate enclosed space) including a Torii gate, pond and “Tea house” planted with Acers, azaleas etc.
